The three year run of Queer Writers of Crime was fantastic but no new episodes are being made. Therefore, some links may not work. Hi, I’m Brad Shreve and this is Queer Writers of Crime, the show where I interview LGBTQ authors of mystery, suspense, and thriller novels. You may ask if there are really that many authors in the subgenre to warrant a podcast?  Oh, you betcha. There have been over 100 episodes and I’ve barely scratched the surface.

If this surprises you, I get it. At one time I had no clue. Somehow, I stumbled on a few books and was astounded, and delighted when I discovered queer crime novels. It dawned on me if I didn’t know there were so many to choose some, then there are others who don’t know either. Now you know why I started this podcast. Someone had to tell you.

Queer Writers of Crime has plenty to offer, whether it’s the first time you’ve heard of the subgenre, or if you’ve been an avid reader for decades.

Each week I interview renowned authors, or new talent. Some guests have been on the New York Time best seller list, and others have even had their works added to the curriculum of some universities. Then there are those who aren’t so well known. Each week there are authors publishing their first novels, and I love helping many get a boost in their new, exciting, and yes, even scary, career.

In addition to author interviews, each week you’ll also hear book recommendations. Emails come in regularly offering thanks for the tips.

Over the course of the show, the name has changed a couple of times, and the format has also had some changes. However, the focus never steered from interviewing great guests, and suggesting good reads.

Now you know what the show is about, so it’s time to dive in and meet some outstanding authors
